This unique event is at the leading edge of knowledge and performs a pivotal role in information sharing, with attendees including architects, engineers, building professionals, property developers and builders; along with suppliers of timber and engineered wood, digital software, manufacturing equipment, pre-fabricated building systems, building materials and products.

Building construction markets

Current building markets in Australia are buoyant due to continually expanding population, which is primarily being accommodated in higher density developments within the urban areas of cities, generating high levels of demand for mid-rise and high-rise multi-residential buildings.
 
Together with the recent change in the National Construction Code to increase timber building heights to 8 storeys, pre-fabricated offsite timber and wood systems in both residential and commercial buildings are now being built higher than ever before.
 
This situation has created unprecedented growth in mid-rise timber frame projects from 3 to 5 storeys, and high-rise CLT and Glulam buildings up to 10 storeys, using offsite construction systems to achieve faster build times and lower costs. 
 
This rising demand is demonstrated by the timber supply chain, which is currently growing at its fastest rate ever with several large-scale prefabrication plants being installed in the past year for producing offsite timber and wood buildings.
