Forest and Wood Products Australia (FWPA) is an industry owned, limited liability company established in September 2007 as successor to the Forest and Wood Products Research and Development Corporation.
FWPA invests in forest industry identified priority research and development projects and undertakes generic wood promotion directed to improving attitudes and perceptions to wood products in major markets. In the future it may offer other services on behalf of the industry.
The Company has a contract with the Australian Government by which expenditure on research and development is matched by the Government. Industry levy payers are eligible to become members of the Company providing them with a direct say in how their levy contributions are invested.
