The Timber Offsite Construction Conference organised by Frame Australia brings together delegates from global and local companies and organisations.

It’s the only national event for design, manufacture and construction of offsite timber and mass wood buildings and is at the leading edge of knowledge and expertise in this quickly evolving market.

Offsite manufacture

Offsite manufacture for timber and mass wood buildings in residential and commercial construction is growing rapidly in Australia, doubling for each of the past two years.

The reasons for this high growth include the benefits obtained from faster construction times, higher quality buildings, less site labour, less waste, less disruption and importantly, lower cost.

The environmental benefits are also immense.

Buildings are one of our greatest consumers of energy and resources, and wood offers a solution that ‘grows on trees’. While concrete emits tonnes of carbon in its manufacture, the same amount of wood will remove two tonnes of carbon from the atmosphere and is naturally renewable and recyclable.

Recent changes in the 2019 National Construction Code have created huge potential for growth with all building types up to 8 storeys now able to use timber frame and mass wood construction.

This is boosting timber offsite systems not only for detached housing but larger-scale projects in multi-residential, apartments, hotels, offices and schools, providing a broad spectrum of building product opportunities for suppliers.

A new market emerging is vertical extensions above existing buildings, with lightweight timber and wood creating an economic method for additional building levels, particularly within densely populated CBD areas.

Opportunities for suppliers

Demand is growing for engineered wood and building materials for offsite systems due to increasing acceptance by developers, property owners, builders and others attracted from the benefits available.

A recent industry market analysis for timber frame and mass wood buildings in Australia estimated demand would increase over the next decade to a value of $1 billion annually.

And globally, a resurgence is underway in the supply of engineered wood products.

Evolution within established wood processing methods and new technologies is increasing production efficiency, along with utilisation of wood resources previously considered not viable for manufacturing.

To manage this growth, a combination of local and international products and expertise will be essential in Australia. Concurrently, North America and Europe are growing their supply of engineered wood products to offsite construction markets by 30% to 50% per year.

2020 Partner acceptance

To confirm your Partner participation please complete the 2020 Partner & Sponsor Acceptance Form (click here) and send to event organisers Frame Australia Pty Ltd at info@frameaustralia.com

On receipt of the form we will confirm your booking and issue an invoice for 50% deposit payable 30 days, with 50% balance invoiced for payment by April 30, 2020.

We encourage your early acceptance as Exhibition Booths at previous events have been fully booked due to limited space available.

Exhibition Booth displays

Participation as a Partner includes an Exhibition Booth which enables supplier face to face contact with designers and builders of residential and commercial construction projects. All Exhibition Booths are located within the Crown Promenade mezzanine foyer area, surrounding the delegate catering stations for all session breaks, lunch, and delegate hospitality.
