International exhibitors on display at Frame
March 29, 2019
The Frame Australia 2019 event ‘Timber Offsite Construction’, will be held in a larger venue this year - Crown Promenade Melbourne – allowing more space for a record number of exhibitors to display the latest products and systems to delegates.
Exhibitors from the complete supply chain for timber and mass wood offsite construction will be represented, with over 80 per cent international companies supplying building materials, software programs, manufacturing equipment, and building construction.
Countries represented include Australia, Belgium, Canada, Finland, Germany, Ireland, Italy, New Zealand, Sweden, United Kingdom, and the United States.
A new entrant to the Australian construction markets, Rubner Holzbau from Italy, will showcase its wares. Rubner Holzbau is among the leading high-performance timber engineering companies in Europe, with more than 500 employees.
Specialising in timber construction solutions, the company has decades of experience with technically complex and architecturally fascinating projects that has made them ideal partners for large wood projects.
Another key exhibitor will be Melbourne’s Impresa House, which represents the next evolution in panelised housing construction that is sustainable and energy-efficient, combining advanced ‘computer numerical control’ (CNC) technologies and innovative design skills to engineer world-class buildings.
These are manufactured in the company’s high-tech facility in western Melbourne to significantly increase speed of construction and deliver improved structural, thermal and acoustic properties.
The Frame event, which began in 1998, has been the leading forum in Australia over the past 21 years for exchange of knowledge on timber offsite construction systems, performing a pivotal role in information sharing and networking.
More than 400 delegates are expected to attend this year, making it the largest event in Frame’s history. Speaker sessions will include some of the world’s leading experts, along with highly respected local experts.
A new feature in this year’s program will be Workshop sessions on a range of topics to be considered in timber offsite design and construction, for open discussion with workshop members and delegates to gain valuable information on each topic.
SmartStruct Solutions is again the Principal Partner following its successful debut in that role last year. As a division of Tilling Timber, it specialises in collaborative timber building solutions with a comprehensive range of engineered wood systems to ensure the most cost-effective project outcomes.
